Lady Julia Osei Tutu, wife of the King of the Asante Kingdom, has expressed the royal family’s pride in the distinguished reign and leadership of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
In her first public well-wishes to her husband, Her Royal Highness said she was extremely proud to be part of the journey of the King’s enviable leadership.
Extolling her life partner, she said, “Otumfuo, you have shown great wisdom in all you have undertaken and so earned the love and esteem of your people and people from all over our country, as attested to today, through your devotion.”
“On behalf of the entire family I say congratulations, my dear, we are all so proud of you, and I’m even more proud to be your partner in this journey called life,” she said while speaking at the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Composers Competition, a choral competition organized as part of events to mark the 25th enstoolment anniversary of the King at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) on April 5, 2024.
Above all, she prayed that Asanteman and Ghana continue to benefit from his wise and courageous leadership for many years.
The King and his wife attended the event along with two of their children.
Also present were traditional authorities; the Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Asenso Boakye; the Vice Chancellor of KNUST, Prof. Rita Akosua Dickson; former Chief Justice, Justice Kwasi Anin Yeboah; choir groups; and others.
